I wanted to draw fan art of Maytag that wasn't total CRAP, so here she is again!



So like I said, Flipside is the only anime-style webcomic I still read, aside from Irritability, and Dan Kim's comics, and The WhoGirl. And the manga-style comics on Slipshine like Dragon Fest and Zamora's comics. I don't really consider U.F.O or Our Home Planet to be manga-style. Blah blah blah.

The biggest drawback to redoing this fanart was having to draw that twerp Li'l Yoshi again. Aside from having to run back and forth through Keelhaul Key 5000 times, the worst thing about TTYD was that the most useful field ability was given to the most annoying sidekick. I hate sassy little kids.

Gunnerkrigg Court may possibly be my favorite webcomic at the moment, so I wish this pic turned out better, but the girls were more difficult to draw than I expected. It occurred to me that this may be due to the fact that I haven't practiced drawing girls their age much. In fact, I don't think I've ever done it before, ever.
Annie is drinking water. Originally, it was to be a glass of iced tea, when I remembered that Gunnerkrigg is produced in the UK and most likely takes place there, and we all know that in the UK, drinking iced tea is punishable by torture. I suppose it could be explained that they're vacationing in Kentucky, but I'm pretty sure students at Gunnerkrigg aren't allowed to do things like that.
