Malice will be sending out news releases soon. Until then, here's an "unofficial official" announcement on my li'l Livejournal.

February 2005: The Foglios make the internet happy by putting their lovely gaslamp comic Girl Genius on the internet, for free.

November 2008: An earlier comic of Phil's, something not particularly worksafe, but a lot of fun nonetheless, will be joining Girl Genius... on the internet.

(not for free, however. Sorry, folks.)

Starting next week, classic cartoon erotica will be running alongside Slipshine's original works. and we couldn't be happier!
Slipshine has prided itself on producing comics that are fun and creative on top of being sexy for years now, so we think XXXenophile will fit right in.

I put up a new preview for one of the Wendy stories over at Slipshine; check it out if you're interested. It's pretty Not Safe For Work. This is the Bold new direction of the Wendy character or whatever!

As always, I recommend subscribing to the site if you'd like to support a few artists. The comics on Slipshine are all pretty genuinely good, and not just wank fodder as people may initially suspect. Sometime soon I'd like to see what I can do to get the word out on this fact.

Subscriptions REALLY slowed down yesterday, and I'm not entirely sure what brought that about. I know the world is having this huge panic attack over the economy, but I doubt that's it. Probably just bad luck. Help us change it!

The wide scenic pans are difficult but fun! Someday I hope to beef up and be able to do more detailed ones.


It was hard to find a panel of this week's Voluptua to post in the blog, since most of the ones in this particular strip aren't really worksafe.

I'm determined to update Voluptua regularly from now on. I was kind of bad about that the past couple months. Also, I need to buy a new washer and dryer, so I'm working on some short 20-or-so page romantic story between sexy coal miners for which to be published on the site over the next couple months. When I type it out like that, it sounds like a silly story idea, and I guess it kind of is.

All these things have not been good when it comes to having time to work on the animation. In fact, I haven't really made progress on it in almost a month. I may have time this weekend to at least finish the backgrounds. But I also have realized I haven't spent time with any of my friends in two or three weeks. Now I'm weighing which task is more important...

Woooo... I will reply to my LJ posts soon, but right now I've been feeling pretty productive, and considering how unproductive I've been for the first half of the month, I must keep this going!

When doing the 24-hour comic, I unhooked my internet so it wouldn't distract me. It's amazing how well that worked. I'm gonna do it all the time from now on. In fact, I'm going to do it again right now!

Ahhh.. Girly was one thing, but it's also been too long since I worked on Doctor Voluptua!
This is the only porn comic I ever enjoyed doing.

Sometime later this week I'll be turning my itnernet off for a full day. For reasons that will become clear.

Help needed for the Slipshine Animation Project!

ANIMATOR NEEDED
The pilot will be roughly three minutes long, so I believe one animator should be sufficient. I will be providing the soundtrack, character layouts, and background art in a Flash animatic, and will send this to the animator to finish. You can check my past journal entries for examples of how the backgrounds and layouts will look. The animation will be limited, for the most part, but there are some moments where it will not be so limited. The ability to animate breast-jiggling is necessary. The artist should be able to mimic my art style. One month will be given to work on this, along with a decent paycheck. I am looking for people people with experience in animation And you WILL be animating sex, so don't apply if you can't do that kind of thing! If you'd like to do work uinder a pseudonym, be sure to let me know.

THEME SONG NEEDED
I need somebody to write and perform the music for a 3-minute song based on the "teen idol" style of music. This song will have lyrics written by me, and Becky's actress Princess Aurora will provide the vocals. Along with that, I'll need some variations of the song, including a shorter 1-minute version to be used during the pilot's end credits, a 10-second version for the opening, and a few musical cues based on it,to be used during establishing shots. For future episodes, I may also have a punk or alternative version of the song played during the ending credits. There will be a commission upfront for the song, along with royalty payments for when it's used in future episodes.
